About IE 8 Compatibility

Know Issues

Internet Explorer 8

There is a known issue in Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 8 which affects the viewing of many web pages on the Internet including those for the Glide OS. Web pages may appear slow and may appear to be non-functional, due to the installation of IE 8 not registering a component which is used for web page code functionality. This issue only affects users of IE 8. Users of earlier versions of IE and users of other browsers (Firefox, Safari) are not affected by this issue.

Information on correcting the installation can be found at http://www.edbott.com/weblog/?p=2443.
